A graded card is a trading card that has been professionally evaluated and assigned a grade by a third-party grading company, such as PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator). Grading involves a detailed assessment of the card’s condition, including its corners, edges, surfaces, and centering. After the assessment, the card(s) are encapsulated in a protective case. Housed inside the case, in addition to the card is a label highlighting the item’s unique certification number, the grade it was awarded, and titular details about the item.

All standard size trading cards with dimensions of 2.5 in x 3.5 in.

PSA defines max insured value as: the dollar amount you estimate each submitted item will be worth after it has been authenticated and graded.

If your item exceeds the max insured value, PSA charges an additional fee to grade the item. That charge will be communicated to you via email.

If eligible, you can trade in your PSA-graded cards at Gotham City Hobbies.

This pricing model is run when your card is scanned in for a trade, and therefore can provide real-time pricing for an item, rather than using a static price point like most of our products in store. Gotham City Hobbies will pay a maximum of $1500.00 in cash or in-store credit.
